We are also thinking about coming to Iqaluit, I am a Nurse too, we have family in Iqaluit so probably not quite as scary as for you. Just wondering what the housing situation is when your hired to Nurse in Iqaluit? We have 2 children, so we would like at least a 2 bedroom apartment... have they arranged housing for you? Is it really crazy expensive? Only respond if you feel like it, I just find it hard to locate this inofrmation anywhere online, and it would be nice to hear from someone who's actually doing it. Thanks so much, look forward to reading more.

Welcolm to Nunavut!!

Love the videos and the cats. Michele and I brought 3 cats and a dog north with us when we came.

What will you be doing at the Nova? I will have to look you up when I stay there.

Ahahahaha....I never looked at this video before responding to the other post last night....you're living in our old apartment. We moved out of there last November and moved upstairs.

God, I love Iqaluit....

well . . . she's cozy!! seriously though, we really like it here :)

rebecca - nurses work for the government of nunavut and housing is assigned. they subsidize the rent which it makes it pretty reasonable, especially compared to what we would normally be paying here. the apartment size is based on your entitlement, so with 2 kids you would be entitled to at least a 2 bedroom unit. good luck with the decision making!
