Prices

What better way to say it than a Beatles serenaded video . . .

ahahahahahah Loved the video! After nearly three years in Nunavut I don't even look at prices anymore. I figure it must be cheaper! Nothing shocks me anymore.

Great video guys! Same as Kara, I don't even look anymore, it saves you the heart attack every time. Although unlike Kara, if I catch a glimpse, I still get shocked..just a little lol.

We thought it'd be agood idea to shock the folks back in Ontario.

It is funny how used to the prices you get. If I hadn't of filmed that on the second day we were here I think the novelty would've worn off a bit.

Thanks so much for watching!

It's so great to hear back from all of you!

Those prices are like Vancouver on 4/20.

Awesome video--it's good to 'shock' people!!

I've been up here 5months now.. and the prices really dont' shock me as much-except when I had to purchase a 2L bottle of cranberry juice....and that put me back $29.99....

I'm back to buying pop---it's down to $2 a can...for awhile before sealift it was $4.50 a can!!

Welcome to the north!

shop around a bit more next at Northmart - at the meat section. Look at all the meats and maybe you'll find a booboo in one of them. $0.16 for porkchops ain't bad and maybe even get caribou for $0.01 or 2...shop around I say.

We do look pretty closely! Especially at the expiry dates . . . We've heard of such random typos but have yet to experience one!

I'll keep a close eye though! Thank you!

ahh! i keep trying, but i can't watch any of your videos out here in pangnirtung...it really sucks because, from what i've read in the comments section, they're really good. boo.

That's too bad Tara! I'm sure you'll watch them eventually.

We hope that your Pang adventures are just as fulfilling as ours here in Iqaluit!

Next time you're here, let us know!

That was amusing! Can't believe no one snatched the camera away in NM! When I lived in Iq, I shopped at Baffin Island Canners - it was literally my corner store. Assuming it's still running a retail section, it's worth the visit to stock up on produce/meats, and cheapest milk/eggs in town (they have stuff in the back freezers, ask). It's near the francophone centre, behind Fantasy coffee.
One reason I had to move...I couldn't take eating Mexican avocados or Florida oranges in the arctic. What kind of sustainable living was I demonstrating? The guilt...unless I took up local hunting/fishing (when they bite)...

Hahha, probably the most humourous and creative representation of 'Nunavut cost of living' yet!
So great :)
